I became an occupational therapist because I enjoyed going to work with my mom, who is a physical therapist, and I wanted to work with people, improving their quality of life and independence. I have been an occupational therapist since 2005. My clinical specialties and advanced training include working with those with neurological diagnoses (spinal-cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, etc.); infants with torticollis, plagiocephaly and developmental delays; and orthopedic diagnoses (shoulder-impingement syndrome, rotator-cuff tears/repairs, bicep tenodesis/tears, fractures of the shoulder/elbow/wrist/hand, hand arthritis and other hand impairments/injuries). Outside of work I love to spend time with my family and my two dogs, and anything outdoors in nature - hiking, biking, camping, exploring, nature walks with my dogs, yard work, boating, campfires and stargazing. I also enjoy traveling on medical and mission trips.
